DANE COUNTY HOUSING STATISTICS:  FIRST QUARTER 2010
Foreclosures were up 20% compared to First Quarter 2009
Of all Dane County Sales, 25% are distressed properties.  This presents an excellent opportunity for investors and flippers.
While the first quarter of 2010 may show increased foreclosures, the supply of homes on the market is not anticipated to increase dramatically.

Market Action Index
The Market Action Index reveals that there is a several-months supply of homes available in Madison.  Demand, however, is beginning to increase and there are indicators that the market is beginning to turn upwards once again.  Buyers should consider purchasing over the summer as demand will surely continue to increase and inventory is anticipated to remain steady during this period.
